Case packers and robotics
Case packers and robotics
It is our goal and has been for a long time to replace manual work with automatic processes. That is why we already decided several years ago that the robot and case packing must be an integrated part of our equipment program. As with all our other machines, it was very important to us, to carry out the development and all the programming in-house.Over the past 10 years, this segment has gained incredible momentum and has become a large part of our turnover. All over the world there are inquiries about NO HANDS technology at the moment. Today we are delighted to have taken on this new technology, which now means that we have a complete solution in our portfolio. Solutions vary from robot solutions with gripping tools for bags, to Delta (picker) robots that can handle more types of packaging at the same time. For the easier solutions, we build traditional case packers. Our strength is, that we build and design ourselves and are not dependent on external suppliers. It is our product that we stand by. The flexibility of building the equipment ourselves also means that we can more easily meet special requests from our customers.
Case packer
Upmann was one of the first to supply fully automatic combination scales for potatoes, onions, and carrots, with the first prototype in 1982. And first delivery shortly after. Over the years, we have developed a product line of machines. Today we have eight different model lines, which in each line has specific advantages. Each line is available with different number and size of scales. For each type and size of product, we have the right solution, as size of the crop packed variate from country to country. Our model line program starts with small machines with 1 weighing head and ends with combination scales with up to 29 heads. Almost all models can be delivered in mild steel or stainless steel. Many of our machines are available in several configurations and can be designed to run with more packing machines at the same time. The capacity can reach 36 t/h in 25 kg. All our weighers can be delivered with remote service module to access the machines direct at the customer’s site.
